Excel Environmental recently assisted the Colorado Environmental Professionals
Association (CEPA), the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment
(CDPHE), as well as the Prower County Sheriffs Department and the Incident
Command Center at the Holly, Colorado disaster site. Excel was proud to offer
whatever assistance we could to the good people responding to this catastrophe.
Lennie Herron (Herron Enterprises) and myself met with representatives of the CDPHE
and the on site emergency responders. The Helicopter was made available to Incident
Command and rescue personnel and utilized to assess damages and follow the tornado
path to more remote areas. They were very thankful.

I would like to take this time to thank Kevin McGinty (our pilot, yes Excels) for
the quick response and effort required to make this happen and the very professional
way he represented himself at the scene as a member of the Excel Team. |

I was struck by the sense of community we encountered down there. The number of volunteers
was enormous given the size of the community. I saw people and equipment from every farm
nearby and far. Businesses from Kansas, Colorado, and Oklahoma were represented. No one
was asking for hand outs and the work was getting done by the locals without any real assistance
from the government, amazing. Anyone with a chainsaw, truck, trailer, water, food, barbeque, a
shovel, or broom was out getting it done. I bet the cleanup is done by Wednesday. I was also
impressed and proud of the volunteer effort by our industry.

A very special thanks to Jeff Ainsworth at Reis Environmental for his immediate response to
supply respirators via overnight courier to the scene while he was at home under the weather.
That was huge!!!!!!
